If you are a regular reader here, you know I serve as a canine foster care provider.\u00a0 Being a charity, we are (always) raising funds to keep doing what we do<\/a>.\u00a0 We have a new way for you to help … and all you have to do is — SHOP!\u00a0 You like shopping right?\u00a0 Do you shop on Amazon.com<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Piney Mountain Foster Care is an all-volunteer run 501(c)(3) and is now GuideStar<\/a> accredited and registered with Amazon Smile.\u00a0 If you select us as your beneficiary, Amazon will donate a percentage of THEIR profits from your purchase to us as your chosen charity.<\/span><\/p>\n

To do this, just go to https:\/\/smile.amazon.com<\/a>, type Piney Mountain Foster Care<\/strong> into the search window and select it from the results list.\u00a0 Wha-la — done!\u00a0 Now any time you go into Amazon through their Smile portal whatever you buy will benefit Piney Mountain Foster Care.\u00a0 You can change charities any time you want, but you don’t have to select one each time: it remembers you.\u00a0 You DO have to enter their site through the Smile portal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Smile<\/a>I’ve told my web browser to bookmark that web address as a tab on my tool bar.\u00a0 Now I don’t have to search through bookmarks, or even type AMAZON into my URL window: one click and I’m in and ready to help raise funds for my favorite rescue as I buy things my family needs.<\/p>\n

If you’re not already doing this, please start.\u00a0 If you live in our area, please consider naming Steele Away Home as your charity.\u00a0 If you’re in NY, NJ, or PA, we don’t want to take anything away from our sister rescues, first look to see if they are listed.\u00a0 If not, we’d appreciate your support.<\/p>\n

Your donation per shopping trip may only amount to a few cents, but if you get enough people tossing a few pennies to you on a regular basis, it adds up.\u00a0 And in any charity, every bit helps!<\/p>\n
