Fun with Snow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>This article was pulled from the files: one published elsewhere and the copyrights have expired so I may use it here.\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I am SO easily amused!<\/p>\n<p>Our white Christmas tu<a href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7092\/7157733969_763796ba6e_b_d.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1500\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"border: 0px none; margin: 5px;\" title=\"Winter Wonderland 2010 (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7092\/7157733969_763796ba6e_m_d.jpg\" alt=\"winter snow, wonderland, trees\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>rned into a VERY white Christmas.\u00a0 This morning I measured \u00a05\u00bd inches of snow laying on top of our porch sides.\u00a0 That makes it the largest snow fall we can remember\u2026 and it\u2019s still snowing!<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I know\u2026 this is nothing at all to those of you with 12\u201d or more on the ground already.\u00a0 But if you think THAT is lame\u2026 read on!<\/p>\n<p>The trees are loaded down too, making a gorgeous winter wonderland of our yard, or at least it was until a bit of a wind kicked up. Then I experienced one of the most entertaining things I\u2019ve seen in a while.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sitting on the sofa watching out the window when a gust would wiggle the upper branches of a tree, dislodging some snow.\u00a0 This would fall down onto branches below, dislodging more snow, which fell and dislodged even more, suddenly this tree would go into a \u201cwhite out\u201d condition with the snow flying all around and I could hear a \u201cfwoop-woomp-woomp\u201d sound as the whole batch smashed into the ground.<\/p>\n<p>It was wonderful!\u00a0 Ah the joys of simple living! \u00a0Or maybe I should say life as a simpleton!\u00a0 Laugh if you want, but I\u2019m having a great time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article was pulled from the files: one published elsewhere and the copyrights have expired so I may use it here.&nbsp; Enjoy!
