\"Blondie-Cochise<\/a>The sun is shining again today, as it did yesterday, but not for a long time before that.\u00a0 Blondie and Cochise are making the most of it: or trying to.<\/p>\n

The sun has not yet swung around far enough to admit much of the sunbeam through the window, just a strip in front of the sofa.\u00a0 They\u2019re not allowed ON the sofa and they know it.\u00a0 So I put the snuggle-bed over in the sunshine for Cochise when they came in from their last exercise time and he was shivering.\u00a0 It\u2019s cold out.\u00a0 The cold doesn\u2019t bother Blondie, she has a heavier coat.<\/p>\n

Cochise curled into the bed, felt the warmth of the sunshine and moaned with pleasure.\u00a0 Blondie stood nearby and looked at him enviously.\u00a0 She poked at him with her nose.\u00a0 He yawned at her (which in dog-speak does not mean he\u2019s tired \u2013 in this case it was \u201cgo away you\u2019re bothering me”).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So Blondie walked around and sat on the floor in the sunshine between Cochise and the window. \u00a0But she remained sitting up \u2013 blocking the sun Cochise was enjoying.\u00a0 Cochise looked back at her, glaring.\u00a0 She ignored him and remained immobile.<\/p>\n

Cochise got up to go discuss the situation with her, and she immediately stepped into the snuggle bed, \u201cThank you!\u201d curled up and laid down.\u00a0 Cochise stood there gaping at her in astonishment, \u201cBut, but\u2026 that was MY spot!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cToo bad\u201d, Blondie yawned.<\/p>\n

So Cochise stepped into the sunbeam and sat down, just as Blondie had.\u00a0 After a few moments the performance was repeated with Blondie getting up to try to intimidate Cochise and Cochise snagging the bed back.<\/p>\n

\"Blondie-Cochise<\/a>They repeated this complete routine THREE times before Blondie gave up and laid down on the quilt to await the sunbeam\u2019s sweep across the floor.<\/p>\n

Eventually they were both able to enjoy the sunshine.<\/p>\n

Silly sun puppies!<\/p>\n
