\"Santa<\/a>For our \u201cSchlocky Sci-Fi Friday Move\u201d this week I dug down deep in the collection of odd-ball science fiction and pulled up one with a little Yuletide cheer tossed in.<\/p>\n

This movie stars Pia Zadora, John Call, and Leonard Hicks.\u00a0 It was made in 1964 and is filmed in color (although we turned that off \u2013 it\u2019s a Friday thing!)<\/p>\n

The Story<\/strong>
\nIt seems Martian children are addicted to Earth\u2019s television shows featuring Santa Claus, and this enrages their parents, who travel to Earth to Kidnap Santa himself.\u00a0 On arrival they kidnap two children who lead them to Santa\u2019s workshop at the North Pole. The Martians return home with Santa and the two children in tow, but underestimate Santa\u2019s unstoppable Yuletide joy.<\/p>\n

What I Thought<\/strong>
\nThis is one of those, \u201cSo bad I can\u2019t help but love it\u201d movies and you know going in that it\u2019s going to be such.\u00a0 If you\u2019re looking for high quality entertainment \u2013 look elsewhere.\u00a0 If you liked Mystery Science Theater, this is for you.\u00a0 The acting is wooden, the sets are cardboard and Styrofoam. The Martian costumes are reminiscent of Marvin the Martian, and Santa Claus\u2026 well, Santa seems rather odd to me \u2013 his Ho, Ho, Ho is more like heh, heh, heh.\u00a0 But, you\u2019ve got to love the spirit of the thing!\u00a0 And the theme song will take up residence in your mind \u2013 you\u2019ve been warned!<\/p>\n
