If you are a regular reader here, you know I serve as a canine foster care provider. Being a charity, we are (always) raising funds to keep doing what we do. We have a new way for you to help … and all you have to do is — SHOP! You like shopping right? Do you shop on Amazon.com?
Piney Mountain Foster Care is an all-volunteer run 501(c)(3) and is now GuideStar accredited and registered with Amazon Smile. If you select us as your beneficiary, Amazon will donate a percentage of THEIR profits from your purchase to us as your chosen charity.
To do this, just go to https://smile.amazon.com, type Piney Mountain Foster Care into the search window and select it from the results list. Wha-la — done! Now any time you go into Amazon through their Smile portal whatever you buy will benefit Piney Mountain Foster Care. You can change charities any time you want, but you don’t have to select one each time: it remembers you. You DO have to enter their site through the Smile portal.
I’ve told my web browser to bookmark that web address as a tab on my tool bar. Now I don’t have to search through bookmarks, or even type AMAZON into my URL window: one click and I’m in and ready to help raise funds for my favorite rescue as I buy things my family needs.
